ECCE 12 European Congress of Chemical Engineering

AUTH attended the 12th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE 12 2019), which was held in Florence (Italy) on September 15–19, 2019.

The conference is focused on the key topics of modern chemical and biochemical engineering. The conference was held in several parallel sessions, including also plenary, keynote and invited lectures based on the following topics:

  • Chemical reaction engineering
  • Environment, safety & quality
  • Particle technology
  • Separation technology and heat & mass transfer
  • Fluid mechanics and transport phenomena
  • Energy an d chemical engineering
  • Process system engineering
  • Workshop on crystallization

About 1000 participants attended the conference, including members from academia and industry.

AUTH participated with an oral presentation entitled “Calcium looping for thermochemical energy storage: Kinetic modeling of limestone calcination”. In this work two models were used for describing the experimental data of evaluation of limestone samples under Calcium Looping conditions for CSP-TCES applications.
